Whether or not your insurance will cover sclerotherapy will depend on a few different factors. You’ll want to check with your insurance plan for more information on coverage. If insurance doesn’t cover treatment, sclerotherapy costs $300 per visit.
While there is minimal downtime after treatment, the veins appear darker than normal for a week or so, and you may experience minor bruising, swelling, and sensitivity for a few weeks. After treatment, your skin is more sensitive to the sun, so we recommend avoiding exposure for a couple of weeks. In most cases, after 6 to 8 weeks, the treated varicose veins disappear.
